about supralurid.

Supralurid is a quarterly print magazine with some content available for tasting online. It is between 20 and 40 pages, digest-sized (5½" x 8½"), saddle-stapled. The editors are nicoLe sativa kurlish and Keith Brian Johnson. While nicoLe gets final say on everything, she is very glad to have Keith help with prose and proofreading. The first issue, Spring 2000, was printed in early April. In each issue, Supralurid will feature at least two pieces of visual art (including photography), one piece of fiction or creative non-fiction, one rant by yours truly (an editorial), a bunch of other miscellaneous tidbits, and approximately ten poems.

Supralurid will evolve.

about the editors
nicoLe sativa kurlish: I'm a poet and an amateur photographer (digital mostly). I wanted to combine some of my passions, present them through others' voices, and thrust them out into the world. I guess that's why supralurid was born. My poetry has been featured in Stirring: A Literary Journal, three issues of the Shadyvale online poetry magazine, and in print in Shadyvale's 1998 Angel.ink chapbook. My photography has been featured on the cover of Stirring. I'm working on getting more of it out into the world. By publishing supralurid, I hope to give other writers and artists the same opportunities that I am looking for. I'm hoping to present something that represents me, using other people's eyes and tongues. I'm hoping to learn how to fly.
You can learn much more about me at my website, pHireflY.com.

Keith Brian Johnson: Keith is the fiction editor of Supralurid and is also the author of many poems and short stories, all unpublished. When not reading science fiction, fantasy, philosophy, or the news (sports, comics, politics, science), he enjoys playing chess, tennis, bughouse.
He has a terrible ear for dialogue but an excellent ear for standard English. He hasn't figured out the exact relationship between those two facts.
